Community Alternatives Program (CAP/IDD Services) : The CAP program provides one-on-one training
and assistance, community participation and involvement, self-help and specialized
training for persons with developmental disabilities. Respite,
Pre-vocational, Community Inclusion and Supported Employment are among
the services provided.

Vocational Enclaves: Supported Employment and Pre-vocational services are provided.

Adult Day Activity: Programs are provided in Lenoir NC and Dallas NC

Intermediate Care Facilities for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR): Intermediate Care Facilities for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR): Services to 48 persons in eight ICF/MR settings in ICF/MR homes located in Burke, Caldwell, Alexander and McDowell Counties. The home in McDowell County specializes in services to children up to age 21. Two homes in Alexander provide services for older adults including retirement and senior citizens’ activities.

Supervised Living (DDA) Services: Supervised Living (DDA) Services are provided in Cleveland and Burke Counties.
Other services provided include CAP/IDD, Dually Diagnosed, and Supported Living; Employment Services.

Alternate Family Living Services (AFL): Alternate Family Living services are provided in private homes supervised and monitored by Area Mental Health Programs. A secure family environment that promotes full family participation enhances the lives of persons served. Homes are monitored regularly by ComServ staff and must meet local fire, safety and health requirements.

Respite Services: Respite services are provided in private homes. Homes are monitored regularly by ComServ staff.

Early Childhood Intervention/CBRS: Early Intervention Services provide special instruction services to children enrolled in the Infant-Toddler program. These services are provided for children from birth to age three who are at risk or have a diagnosed developmental delay. These services are provided in natural environments by supporting children in existing community programs and services, or in their homes.

Developmental Therapies: Trainers are provided to assist people in learning new skills to help them become more independent and integrated into the community.

Developmental Day Services: Developmental day provides individual/habilitative programming for children with or “at-risk” for developmental delay, developmental disabilities or atypical behavior in a specialized licensed child care center. We operate  one center. A Place to Grow in Lincoln county. Children receive education services and additional speech, physical, and occupational therapies as specified by the child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The centers also offer after/before school care and summer programs for families that need additional care for their child. Children "at risk" Below the age of three receive CBRS in the Development Day Setting
