§          Community Based Rehabilitative Services (CBRS):  CBRS is provided by ComServ, Inc. to children less than three years of age who are “at risk” for developmental delay.  Referrals are received for services by the Children’s Developmental Service Agency (CDSA) through the child’s Case Manager.  A child must first be evaluated by the CDSA to determine eligibility for services.  CBRS is a one-to-one service provided by staff qualified to work with children less than three years of age in a variety of community settings such as child care centers, developmental day centers and homes.  The level of CBRS services is determined by the referring agency treatment team.

§        Developmental Day Services:  Developmental day provides individual/habilitative programming for children with or “at-risk” for developmental delay, developmental disabilities or atypical behavior in a specialized licensed child care center.  We operate two centers: A Place to Grow in Lincoln county and Parkview School and learning Center in Gaston County.  Children receive education services and additional speech, physical, and occupational therapies as specified by the child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The centers also offer after/before school care and summer programs for families that need additional care for their child.

§        Inclusive Day Care:  Parkview School and Learning Center, located in Gaston County, also provides inclusive child care for children who are typically developing and atypically developing at a private pay rate or by voucher.  Children learn best from other children and need experiences with each other.  Children who are typically developing learn to respect the differences of other children. Parents are offered training and support through the program.
